Day 02 : Tuesday, May 19 : On and around the Capitoline

Morning : Solo excursions / site report preparation

  • Meet outside the Colosseum Metro stop (Blue Line) at 1:00 p.m. sharp.

  • Theater and Street of the Corporations
  • Synagogue at Ostia

Afternoon : The western coast and beach time

  • Rent a resort chair or visit the spiaggia pubblica (public beach)
  • Last train departs Ostia at 11:30 (so says Wikipedia)
Day 15 : Monday, June 1 : The Vatican Museums

Morning : The Vatican Museums

  • Meet at 9:00 a.m. sharp in the Common Room
  • Have Skidmore IDs, Blue Guides, and church attire.
  • Self-guided tours of the museums

Afternoon : Solo excursions

Evening :

Day 16 : Tuesday, June 2 : Republic Day

(optional) Morning : Festivities on the Campidoglio

  • 11:00 : Fighter jets make the Frecce Tricolori (Italian flag) in the sky
